I rmbmeeer being pretty angry for you when your photographer didn't deliver your photos and you had to go through all that craziness to get them.One thing I'd like to recommend to couples is that it is totally ok to ask for references from your wedding photographer. That way, you can hear from their past clients and how they felt about their experience.
